Flameshot

Flameshot is a powerful open source tool for taking screenshots. Various contributors on GitHub have been working, for free, to make this accessible cross-platform program with a wide variety of built-in tools and features to save you time.

To use Flameshot, simply run the program to see an accessible and simple interface from which you can choose which part of your desktop you want to capture. It also lets you draw if you want to highlight something in the image, then save the file to your device. The Flameshot interface is fully customizable, so you can choose everything, from the buttons that appear on the screen for the tools you use most often to keyboard shortcuts for performing the program's various functions.

Flameshot allows you to use its built-in tools to perform image edits without having to rely on other external programs. You can blur the image, add rectangular and circular shapes or borders, include messages with the text tool, or draw on top of the screenshot. In addition to saving these images locally, Flameshot also offers the option to upload this content to the cloud with its Imgur shortcut.
